BSP PI Awarded Highest University Honor

The Boston Science Partnership is pleased to announce that Principal Investigator Hannah Sevian has received the 2006 University of Massachusetts President's Public Service Award, the highest honor bestowed upon faculty in the University of Massachusetts system. This award honors faculty members who apply their academic or professional expertise to address priority needs of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, such as K-12 education, economic development, workforce development, health and environment innovation, or international linkages for Massachusetts.

Other members of the Boston Science Partnership Leadership Team have earned similar recognitions for their contributions to K-20 science education. In 2005, BSP Co-Principal Investigator Bob Chen received the University of Massachusetts President's Public Service Award. In the same year, BSP Co-PI and Project Director Christos Zahopoulos was honored with the President's Aspiration Award from Northeastern University. Also in 2005, BSP Co-PI Arthur Eisenkraft received the Distinguished Service to Science Award from the National Science Teachers Association.
